Adam L. Appel | Partner

Adam is a trial attorney with over 25 years of civil litigation experience. His practice includes defending cases involving personal injury litigation arising from premises liability, products liability, construction site accidents, commercial and personal auto accidents and various other torts. Adam also has extensive experience defending construction defect claims, civil rights claims, employment discrimination litigation, and nursing home and medical malpractice litigation.

In his employment practice, Adam defended both private and public entities and public officials in various employment-related litigation, including ADA, FMLA, Title VII, ADEA, and Section 1983 claims. Adam routinely assists clients in responding to EEOC charges and resolving such claims to avoid costly litigation.

Adam’s practice includes litigation arising out of various construction defects, including both personal injury litigation from job site accidents to defending contractors and various trade subcontractors in construction defect cases. Adam’s experience ranges from residential construction to commercial development, such as dormitories and apartments.

Adam has litigated a variety of medical negligence cases, including nursing homes, health departments, nurses and physicians.

In the products liability and premises liability fields, Adam has handled cases involving a variety of consumer products, food products, and mechanical equipment and tools. He has defended several chain restaurants in widely-publicized food-borne outbreak cases in Georgia. In addition to his familiarity with handling widespread outbreaks, Adam has handled numerous food-poisoning-related cases, including cases involving foreign objects found in food to garden-variety complaints associated with consumption of food.

Adam has been called upon by his clients to give seminars on various topics that are germane to his areas of practice.

Adam has tried cases in state and federal courts, argued motions in all state appellate courts and in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to his trial work, he has extensive experience in all forms of alternative dispute resolution.
