National Traffic Awareness Month

August is National Traffic Awareness Month, and our team is here to spread awareness in efforts to educate drivers on safety rules that can help make the roads safer. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 20 to 50 million people are injured in traffic-related incidents yearly. Agencies like WHO and many others are sharing insightful campaigns all month to help shed light on the importance of traffic safety across the country.

Observing National Traffic Awareness Month

There are many ways you can actively participate in observing traffic safety awareness throughout the entire month of August. Although donating to organizations and sharing stories and campaigns to your social media accounts is always greatly appreciated, there are other ways to do so.

  1. Encourage Traffic Safety Rules

Encouraging friends and family to adhere to traffic safety rules is a great way to easily participate in National Traffic Awareness Month. This is also a great way to be a responsible citizen and a safe motor vehicle operator.

  1. Pay Attention to the Roads

Whether it’s due to your cell phone, other passengers, or the radio, it’s easy to become distracted while driving. It’s very important to keep your focus on the road at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and others who may be sharing the road with you.

  1. Traffic Safety and Awareness Pledge

Many organizations such as The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and The National Safety Council make it easy to pledge to adhere to all the traffic safety rules. This month, make it a priority to pledge and encourage people you love to do so.
